Agentero

Research context shouldn't.
Research is a loop.
Your Agent should be part of it.
Discover research
Plaza, RSS and Cool Papers bring new papers to you. Add them to your library in one click.
Read deeply
Open a PDF. Figures, tables and equations are recognized automatically and become explorable structure.
Understand with your Agent
Select an equation or a paragraph. Your Agent unfolds in the sidebar and answers with the paper's context.
Turn reading into knowledge
Answers settle into NOTES as [[wikilinks]], and related papers surface on their own.

The regularizer connects to [[contrastive learning]] — it lower-bounds mutual information.

Reuse your research
The graph keeps growing. Your Agent works across papers, and BibTeX / BibLaTeX export is always one click away.

Frequently asked questions
- Is Agentero a Zotero replacement?
- Agentero does not ask you to abandon Zotero's bibliographic workflow. Import your library, keep the browser connector and magic import, and export BibTeX or BibLaTeX whenever you write. What it adds is a local Vault, deep PDF reading, and your own Agent inside the same research context.
- Does my research leave the machine?
- Not by default. Papers, PDFs, notes, and relationships stay in the local Vault you choose. Only features you turn on contact third parties — DOI lookups, a translation API you configure, or an Agent already installed and signed in on your machine.
- Which Agents can I connect?
- Connect local Agents over ACP, including Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and others you already run. Agentero is not locked to one model or cloud vendor. Context stays local.
- Which platforms are supported, and what does it cost?
- Desktop apps cover macOS, Windows, and Linux, plus a CLI. The project is MIT-licensed. Installers are on this site and GitHub Releases.
