A Paper Translation Tool with Research Context
Good paper translation is more than replacing words. The same symbol can mean different things in the abstract, the method, and the appendix. Translation has to see the paper and stay on the page you are reading.
Translate while reading
Select a passage in a PDF to view the original and the translation together. You do not copy text into a browser or leave the column you are in. Short definitions and full method paragraphs can both be handled in place.
Keep terminology consistent
The same term can shift meaning across fields and sections. Context helps the translation hold onto variable names and proper nouns that already appeared. That is closer to how researchers actually read than a generic web translator.
Translation is part of the record
A translation can sit beside highlights, annotations, and questions in the local library. You are building a record you can reopen, not burning a one-off quota.
You choose the channel
Use a built-in route or configure your own API. Agentero does not silently upload full papers to a hidden service. Requests go to the provider you selected.
What translation will not do
It will not decide whether a paper is worth citing, and it will not draft a submission-ready review. Its job is to lower the friction of reading, so your judgment stays on the argument and the experiments.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I translate a whole paper?
- Selection, page-by-page, and full-text translation are all available. On long papers, most people translate the critical passages first.
- Does the translation rewrite the PDF?
- No. The translation appears in the reader and can be saved into notes. The original file stays unchanged.
